Terms and conditions
The terms and conditions of use described below (hereinafter the “Terms and Conditions”) constitute the binding, valid, and effective rules that will govern any person (hereinafter the “User,” or, in plural, the “Users”) who, by accepting the Terms and Conditions, enters into a contractual relationship through the Standard Form Contract for the Provision of Services (hereinafter the “Contrato AKRON® EV”) with AK Logística, S.A. de C.V., a company incorporated in accordance with the laws of the United Mexican States, with its registered office at Avenida Américas 1506-116, Col. Country Club, C.P. 44610, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, its affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, and/or controlled companies, companies that are part of its economic group (currently or in the future), to which it may transfer its contractual position or assign its rights under the “Contrato AKRON® EV” (hereinafter “AKRON®“), for the purpose of using the mobile software application called AKRON® EV (hereinafter the “AKRON® EV APP”).
These AKRON® EV APP Terms and Conditions contain the rights and obligations between the parties for the use of the AKRON® EV APP, allowing Users to charge their electric and/or hybrid vehicles at the electric vehicle charging stations (“AKRON® EV Charging Stations” or “AKRON® EV Charging Station”), owned by AKRON®.
Through the AKRON® EV APP, Users will be able to: (i) identify which AKRON® EV Charging Stations are available for the User to charge their electric/hybrid vehicle; (ii) choose the type of electric/hybrid vehicle charging (charging speed level), as well as its corresponding cost and payment; (iii) keep a record of vehicle charges, electric charging receipts, and invoicing request.
The AKRON® EV APP is available for download on Apple iOS and Android systems. By downloading the AKRON® EV APP, the User agrees to have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions, as well as those specific to the Apple iOS and Android systems.
Any person who does not accept the Terms and Conditions of the AKRON® EV APP, which are mandatory and binding, must refrain from using the services offered by the AKRON® EV APP.
AKRON® does not guarantee, nor is it obligated to guarantee, the condition or compatibility of the AKRON® EV Charging Stations with the User’s vehicle, the charging speed for their electric/hybrid vehicle, or the performance of the AKRON® EV Charging Stations. AKRON® guarantees that each AKRON® EV Charging Station complies with all mandatory safety and legal standards or those applicable to the industry for the operation of electric/hybrid vehicle charging stations.
By registering in the AKRON® EV APP, Users will be able to use all AKRON® EV Charging Stations, which are located throughout the Mexican Republic, as shown in the AKRON® EV APP.
AKRON® does not guarantee continuous or uninterrupted access and use of the AKRON® EV APP, nor its performance, power supply, or the continuous availability of AKRON® EV Charging Stations. Both the AKRON® EV APP and the AKRON® EV Charging Stations may eventually be unavailable, due to technical difficulties, electrical issues, internet or telecommunications failures, or any other circumstances beyond AKRON’s control.
Users may not hold AKRON® liable or claim any compensation for damages resulting from the difficulties mentioned above, as well as for any other type of damages, including emerging damages or loss of profits, indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from or experienced by Users.
AKRON® will attempt to resolve any issues as soon as possible after becoming aware of them; however, AKRON® does not guarantee that the operation of the AKRON® EV APP will be continuous, complete, or error-free.
Although AKRON® strives to provide the most accurate information possible through the AKRON® EV APP and its website akron.com.mx/electromovilidad, it cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information provided, as it may be affected by telecommunications issues, network failures, or other matters beyond AKRON’s control. The AKRON® EV APP displays information about each AKRON® EV Charging Station received intermittently through third-party communications. Neither AKRON® nor any external service provider guarantees that the information displayed through the AKRON® EV APP is correct or up to date.
To use an AKRON® EV Charging Station, the User must register in the AKRON® EV APP. To identify the Users, AKRON® uses their email address to verify their account. Creating a user account requires certain personal information. In this regard, the User must provide true, current, and complete information and, if this information changes, must update it immediately. The AKRON® EV APP requires the User to choose a password. The User is responsible for keeping this password secure to prevent any unauthorized use or access to their account. Therefore, the Users are solely and exclusively responsible for all activities carried out on their account, and AKRON® will assume that all actions performed in the AKRON® EV APP have been made by the User and that the stored information is correct. If the Users experiences any suspicious activity on their account, they must contact AKRON® immediately using the contact information provided here.
The User must ensure that charging sessions at AKRON® EV Charging Stations are carried out in accordance with the instructions provided in the AKRON® EV APP and/or at the location where the AKRON® EV Charging Station is situated. The use of the AKRON® EV APP, the AKRON® EV Charging Stations, and/or their accessories is the User’s responsibility. The User agrees to use the AKRON® EV Charging Stations safely, with due care and reasonable skill, and will be responsible for any misuse of the AKRON® EV Charging Stations and/or their accessories.
When no charging cables are provided at an AKRON® EV Charging Station, the User is responsible for providing their own charging cables to connect their vehicle to the AKRON® EV Charging Station. The User must only use charging cables of a standard and quality no lower than those recommended by their vehicle manufacturer and must not use any cable that is damaged, defective, or modified in any way. It is the User’s responsibility to physically disconnect their vehicle from the AKRON® EV Charging Station once the charging process is complete. If they have used a charging cable or accessory provided by the AKRON® EV Charging Station, they must ensure it is properly stored in its designated place after use. Please note that some AKRON® EV Charging Stations may be located in areas where special parking rules apply, and the User is responsible for complying with the parking rules at the location where the AKRON® EV Charging Station is situated. Likewise, once the charging session is complete, the User must leave the AKRON® EV Charging Station and its location immediately. Failure to do so may result in additional charges for occupying the space.
The charging of an electric/hybrid vehicle depends on various factors, including but not limited to the technical specifications of the vehicle in question, the level and capacity of the battery, and the charging station itself. These factors will affect the charging of any electric/hybrid vehicle. The User acknowledges and agrees that AKRON® does not provide any guarantee regarding the amount of time required to charge an electric/hybrid vehicle using AKRON® EV Charging Stations.
It is strictly prohibited to alter or modify any part of the AKRON® EV Charging Stations, including their accessories, as well as to bypass, deactivate, or manipulate, in any way, the software of each AKRON® EV Charging Station. The User will be responsible for leaving the accessories of the AKRON® EV Charging Station in the same condition in which they were found.
The AKRON® EV Charging Stations and the AKRON® EV APP are provided “as is” for use at the User’s own risk. AKRON® will not be held liable to the User or any other person for any loss or damage to the User or their vehicle under these Terms and Conditions, the AKRON® EV APP, the AKRON® EV Charging Stations, or their accessories. AKRON® is not and will not be responsible for the services provided by the AKRON® EV Charging Stations, including but not limited to: a) services incorrectly requested by the User, including but not limited to a request for a higher charging speed than the User’s vehicle can support; b) any incomplete charging or damage caused by reasons outside of the AKRON® EV Charging Station; c) sudden increase, unavailability, or interruption of the electricity supply; d) User error; e) use or inability to use the AKRON® EV Charging Stations and/or their accessories; f) use or inability to use the AKRON® EV APP; g) any third-party website linked from the AKRON® EV APP; h) error, omission, or delay in providing any information made available to the User.
AKRON® may modify, restrict access to, or suspend the services available in the AKRON® EV APP or with respect to the AKRON® EV Charging Stations at any time, including but not limited to when necessary for our internal business operations, to reflect changes in laws and regulatory requirements, or when due to circumstances beyond our control.
The Users shall be responsible and indemnify AKRON® for any loss, damage, fine, or claim that may arise in connection with: (i) their failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions; (ii) negligence, misuse, alteration, or deliberate mistreatment of any AKRON® EV Charging Station and/or its accessories, AKRON® EV Charging Station software, AKRON® EV APP, or facilities where an AKRON® EV Charging Station is located; (iii) any unauthorized use of the AKRON® EV APP; (iv) any unauthorized use of Stripe. This obligation shall not apply to the extent that the damage or loss is caused by a negligent act or omission by AKRON®.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, AKRON® shall not be liable for any loss or damage that the User may suffer in connection with: (i) the use of the AKRON® EV Charging Stations; (ii) any information contained in the AKRON® EV APP that is incorrect, incomplete, or outdated; (iii) loss or corruption of data sent, uploaded, or entered into the AKRON® EV APP. This liability waiver shall not apply to the extent that the damage or loss is caused by a negligent act or omission by AKRON®.
AKRON® may change, suspend, discontinue, or restrict access to the AKRON® EV APP or AKRON® EV Charging Stations without prior notice or liability if: a) you misuse or damage any AKRON® EV Charging Station and/or its accessories and/or the AKRON® EV APP; b) you provide false or inaccurate information to AKRON®; c) any payment to AKRON® is canceled, reversed, or rejected.
To complete the charging of the electric/hybrid vehicle through the AKRON® EV Charging Stations, the payment must be made using one of our approved payment methods. The User authorizes AKRON® to use the selected payment method to process payment for the charges and any other amounts the User must pay for the use of the AKRON® EV Charging Station and/or in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. AKRON® reserves the right to modify the charges initially reflected in the AKRON® EV APP when the electric/hybrid vehicle is charged, as these are merely indicative. Therefore, the User acknowledges and agrees that the final charges may differ from the initially displayed charge in the AKRON® EV APP. AKRON® will make reasonable efforts to inform the User of any applicable charges, provided that the User is responsible for the charges incurred on their account, regardless of whether the User is aware of these charges or their amounts, for which AKRON® will provide confirmation or receipts for each charge.
When any payment attempt made by the User is declined or unsuccessful for any reason, the User must use a different payment method. If the payment is declined or reversed, AKRON® may charge the User any fee incurred by AKRON® in relation to the rejected or reversed payment. AKRON® reserves the right to recover pending charges and associated fees, either directly or indirectly, through third parties. Additionally, AKRON® may charge recovery fees and dispute fees. AKRON® EV has the right to collect pending payments at any time for charging sessions carried out in previous months. These charges will be made solely for valid charges recorded in our system. By using our services, the User agrees to this condition and undertakes to maintain an active payment method with sufficient funds to cover any outstanding balance.
AKRON® does not store sensitive payment data, as payments are processed through a third party with the necessary PCI certifications to securely store and process banking transactions.
When paying with a credit or debit card, the User will be redirected to the payment platform “Stripe.” By making any transaction and/or service request on the AKRON® EV APP, the User is also accepting the Consumer Service Terms of “Stripe.” Stripe is an independent controller that will collect, store, and process the User’s personal banking information, which may include sensitive data. Stripe’s privacy statement is available at https://stripe.com/en-mx/privacy. The Stripe payment platform may place a pre-authorization hold on the User’s credit or debit card. AKRON® is not responsible and has no liability in this regard. Therefore, if the User has any questions about a pre-authorization hold, they should contact their card issuer. AKRON® staff or, when applicable for AKRON® EV APP, App Store or Google Play users, will only have access to the last four digits of the User’s payment card.
AKRON® will make available AKRON® EV Charging Stations for Users to use in order to charge their electric or hybrid vehicle through the AKRON® EV APP. Users of the AKRON® EV Charging Stations will pay for the charging service of their electric/hybrid vehicle during the time they are connected to the hoses of the AKRON® EV Charging Stations.
AKRON® will collect personal information from the User in relation to the use of the AKRON® EV Charging Stations and the use of the AKRON® EV APP. Some examples of personal information that will be collected by AKRON® including, but not limited to: name, email, phone number, address, tax information (“Personal Data”). Additionally, AKRON® may collect information related to the User’s location, interaction with the AKRON® EV APP, and AKRON® EV Charging Stations.
AKRON® may disclose the User’s Personal Data and other data collected in connection with the use of the AKRON® EV APP and the AKRON® EV Charging Stations to third parties, at its sole discretion, and may use this information, including but not limited to, for purposes of commercial communication with the User, marketing, consumer behavior analysis, statistical purposes, among others. At any time, the User may request to unsubscribe from commercial communication messages in accordance with the procedures set forth by AKRON®.
Communication messages to AKRON® EV APP users will provide updates, including but not limited to, new features and products that will be implemented in the AKRON® EV APP, such as new charging rates, premium plans, loyalty programs, etc.
AKRON® will make its best efforts to maintain the confidentiality and security of Personal Data; however, it will not be liable for any damages that may arise from the violation of the measures it adopts by third parties who use public networks or the internet to access such information.

AKRON® may modify, at its discretion, these Terms and Conditions from time to time, without prior notice, as well as the charges applicable to the use of the AKRON® EV Charging Stations. The current version of the Terms and Conditions of Use will be available on our website and through the “Settings” section of the AKRON® EV APP. The applicable charges will be displayed in the AKRON® EV APP.
Accessing the AKRON® EV APP and using the AKRON® EV Charging Stations after the publication of any changes to these Terms and Conditions and/or the charges for the AKRON® EV Charging Stations will be considered as acceptance of those changes and the current version of the Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with the current version of the AKRON® EV Terms and Conditions or the applicable charges for the use of the AKRON® EV Charging Stations, you must refrain from using the services in any way and must delete the AKRON® EV APP from your mobile device.
AKRON® EV may send communication messages to the users of the AKRON® EV APP via email, which may include, but are not limited to, information about new features and products being introduced in the AKRON® EV APP, including new charges, premium plans, loyalty programs, etc., as well as the current Terms and Conditions. At no time will AKRON® request access keys, PINs, or information related to Users’ accounts or credit or debit card details.
AKRON® and/or its affiliated, parent, controlled, subsidiary, or related companies, own all intellectual property rights to their websites, all content, services, products, brands, trade names, logos, designs, images, advertising phrases, copyrights, domains, software programs, codes, developments, databases, information, technology, patents, utility models, industrial designs, trade secrets, and others (hereinafter referred to as “Intellectual Property”). These are protected by national and international laws, and under no circumstances will the User have any rights over them, other than those granted by these Terms and Conditions.
Subject to compliance with these Terms and Conditions, AKRON® grants the User permission to use its Intellectual Property solely to install, view, use, and access the AKRON® EV APP during the term of these Terms and Conditions, for their legitimate personal purposes, and as authorized by AKRON®. The User may not commercialize the AKRON® EV APP, misuse it, or use the name, brand, or logo of AKRON® EV or AK Logística. The User agrees not to copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, transmit, or otherwise use the Intellectual Property rights of AKRON® and/or its affiliated, parent, controlled, subsidiary, or related companies, nor allow others to do so, except as permitted by these Terms and Conditions. Any other use of the Intellectual Property of AKRON® and/or its affiliated, parent, controlled, subsidiary, or related companies is strictly prohibited. Additionally, to the extent the User complies with these limitations, AKRON® grants a non-transferable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, royalty-free, and revocable license.
These Terms and Conditions of Use are governed entirely by Mexican legislation. For the resolution of any conflict related to their interpretation or application, the User expressly submits to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the First Judicial District of the State of Jalisco, Mexico.
Both AKRON® and the User may terminate this AKRON® EV Contract at any time during its term without stating a cause, which will result in the closure of the account. However, this does not suspend the fulfillment of any pending obligations between the parties at the time of notifying the termination, including, but not limited to, any outstanding debts to the other party or third parties involved in the operations, or the fulfillment of any obligations.
Additionally, AKRON® may, in case of the User’s non-compliance with any aspect of the Terms and Conditions or applicable legislation, terminate this AKRON® EV Contract without prior notice, reserving the right to claim any damages caused by such non-compliance.
It is the User’s responsibility to correctly select the appropriate connector for their vehicle, ensuring it is properly connected to the charger. Additionally, the User must select the charging option that best suits the specifications recommended by the vehicle’s manufacturer. In case of doubt, the User is advised to consult the vehicle’s manual or seek guidance to ensure the correct power level is being used.
The User must ensure that their vehicle is compatible with the charging power provided by the charger. If the vehicle has charging limitations, such as restrictions on hours or power, it is the User’s responsibility to be aware of these specifications to avoid any compatibility issues.

To receive support, it will be necessary to provide the following information: charging point (location), name, a clear and specific description of the issue or question, the connector number, the date and time the incident occurred, the vehicle model and type, as well as any screenshots or photos related to the error or situation. Having this information will help our team address your request more efficiently and accurately.
AKRON® offers a dynamic pricing scheme that allows Users to choose the power at which they wish to charge their vehicle and the cost they will pay for it.
The User is responsible for selecting the charging option that best fits the specifications recommended by their vehicle’s manufacturer before starting the charge. Once the charge has begun, it will not be possible to modify the chosen power. AKRON® does not guarantee that the vehicle will reach the maximum power of the charger, as each vehicle has its own limitations set by the manufacturer.
AKRON® may establish consumption limits without prior notice. If the set limit is exceeded, the charging will automatically stop, and if the vehicle remains connected without charging for more than 15 minutes, the inactivity fee may apply.
When a vehicle remains connected to the charger without consuming energy, an inactivity fee will be applied. This measure aims to optimize the use of the chargers and ensure their availability for other users.
The inactivity fee will be applied in the following cases:
It will be the User’s responsibility to monitor their charging session and ensure that the vehicle is properly connected and charging. AKRON® EV will not be responsible for situations arising from the vehicle’s internal settings, errors when connecting the charger, lack of knowledge about the ideal power, or failure to review notifications sent to the registered email and/or app.
Users are recommended to check their email and/or mobile app to stay informed about the status of their charge, including notifications about suspension of charging, the end of the grace period, and when the vehicle stops consuming energy.
A grace period of 15 minutes will be granted from the moment the vehicle stops consuming energy. After this time, the inactivity fee will be charged per minute, plus VAT, and will continue to apply until the vehicle is disconnected from the charger.
Once the charging service has started, no refunds will be issued, whether due to cancellation or any other reason. By using the service, the User confirms that they have read and understood the terms and conditions, and agrees to them. Additionally, the User accepts that they are not entitled to a refund once the service has started. Refund requests will be rejected, and no refunds will be granted if the User voluntarily decides to cancel or delete their AKRON® EV APP account.
At AKRON®, no fee is refundable except in cases where charges have been incurred due to a technical issue with our infrastructure. In such cases, AKRON® will compensate the User with an equivalent of free charging hours. The following are the cases that may qualify for compensation and the corresponding hours.

Invoices will be processed on the 15th-16th and 30th-31st of each month, and will only include invoices for charging sessions carried out within the current month. Charges from previous months cannot be billed. If you have any doubts, make sure to consult before the end of the month, as charges from past months will not be processed after that.
Promotional codes must be used according to the terms established by AKRON® EV. Each promotional code will be limited to a single use per account. AKRON® EV will monitor promotional code activity, and if unusual or unauthorized use is detected, the promotional code will be suspended. Any attempt to distribute or misuse promotional codes may lead to the cancellation of the User’s account and the revocation of the benefits obtained.
How do I charge my electric car at the AKRON® EV charging station?
To charge your electric car, simply download the AKRON® EV app from your app store and register with your name and email. Verify your account to log in. Once logged in, you can select your preferred charging speed and make the payment.
Where are the AKRON® EV charging stations located?
AKRON® EV charging stations are currently located on Basement 1 and Basement 2 of Andares® Shopping Mall, at Blvd Puerta de Hierro 4965, Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. In both basements, the charging stations are conveniently situated right in front of the central stairs leading up to the mall.
We are continually expanding to provide you with the best service through additional charging stations across the city.
How many connectors are available?
We currently have 8 connectors available: 4 at the charging station in Basement 1 and 4 at the charging station in Basement 2 of the mall.
Soon, you will be able to recharge your car at new charging stations throughout the city.
What types of connectors are available?
The connectors are American standard Type 1 (SAE J1772) and provide Level 2 charging with alternating current (AC) up to 17 kW.
How much does it cost to charge my electric car at AKRON® EV?
You can choose from 3 different power levels to charge your electric car at a faster rate, depending on your needs.
What happens if I choose a higher charging power than my car can receive?
All electric cars have different charging capacities and speeds. If you select a higher charging power than your car’s battery can handle, the car will charge at the maximum power it is able to accept. It’s important to note that the energy will be delivered according to the selected level.
How do I download the app?
You can download the app directly from the App Store on your Android® or iOS® device.
What are the payment methods?
Payments can be made by credit or debit card directly through the AKRON® EV app.
How fast does my electric car charge?
Charging times vary depending on the car. Please refer to your owner’s manual for more details. Our chargers provide up to 17 kW of power, allowing you to charge up to 6 times faster than at home (~3 kW) and 3 times faster than a conventional commercial charger (~6 kW).

How can I get an invoice for my charging purchase?
Request your invoice by emailing electromovilidad@akron.com.mx or contacting support at WhatsApp number 33 1699 4044. Please provide your tax ID and virtual purchase receipt. You will receive the invoice via email within 5 business days. Ensure that you request the invoice within the same month your receipt was issued.
